Bennett & Royle manage to convey all the necessary information about the essential elements of any kind of discourse. It is probably aimed at beginners in literary theory, because it introduces you to the basic "stuff" like New Criticism, Roland Barthes, Foucault...The only negative comment I can make about this book is its superficial manner at some stages.
