This instructional book is well written, easy to read and full of useful suggestions. If you're reading "Lord of the Flies" with a class, this is the source of suggestions you need! Sometimes the suggestions are a little bit "far apart" from close reading. Of course the students get heavily involved in these literature activities, but I sometimes asked myself if there is a curriculum that allows that much time for literature.
